Itinerary

– Day1: (10 Dec)

Arrival at Bogotá Airport, the Andean capital, followed by a 30-minute transfer to your hotel. You can rest and walk around until we meet for a group welcome dinner.

Suitable flights and timings will be given to you upon registration.

Day2: (11 Dec)

Morning walking city tour in the center. You will discover the colonial district of La Candelaria, Bogota’s historical center and its squares and markets. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and to understand their way of life.In the afternoon: you will visit the famous Gold Museum and Botero Museum where you will be able to admire the masterpieces of the renowned Colombian painter and sculptor.

Later in the evening: A private transfer will take you to Bogotá airport for a domestic flight to our next stop: Armenia

Feel free to explore the beautiful hotel before going to bed.

Day3: (12 Dec)

Private transport will take you from hotel to Salento. Approximately 1h

In Salento.

We will be heading towards Cocora Valley. Together with your guide, discover the valley and its famous wax palm trees, the tallest in the world. You will then reach the “bosque de niebla” (fog forest), a fascinating ecosystem in which you’ll be able to observe some of the region’s birds, and if lucky, animals such as Andean tapirs or spectacled bears. Head back to Salento for lunch

Salento is a charming village nestled in the heart of the Quindío region in Colombia. Known for its peaceful atmosphere and stunning landscapes, it attracts travelers seeking nature and authenticity. Coffee lovers can visit traditional fincas to discover the process of Colombian coffee production. Strolling along Calle Real offers the chance to appreciate the colorful colonial architecture and find handcrafted souvenirs.

Day4: (13 Dec)

Coffee farm experience:

A private transport from Armenia – Manizales. About 2h30.

Experience the coffee culture in the heart of Colombian lands. Your guide will pick you up before bringing you to his Finca for a complete immersion in the coffee plantations. You will be entitled to a complete tour of the coffee. You’ll learn about its history, see a presentation of the Colombian coffee, walk in the heart of the plantations, all while living the experience of picking the coffee yourself. You will then hear additional explanations on the manufacturing process of the famous beverage before ending with a tasting.

Overnight at the coffee farm rooms

Day5: (14 Dec)

Private transport will take you from Manizales to Medellin (approx. 5h)

Day6: (15 Dec)

COMUNA 13, ART AS A SOCIAL MEDIATOR

We will listen to the stories and tales that have marked the history of the area and we will see how through art and culture: music, dance, and muralism, the inhabitants of the commune have created alternatives to appropriate their commune, influencing the social and political transformation of the area.

Throughout this tour, we will have a dance workshop, an urban graphics workshop and we will taste a local product. We will learn about the history of constant transformation of this commune, through art, culture, and the care of a territory that is full of strength and resilience.

WALKING TOUR MEDELLIN

You’ll go to the city center. You will visit the Administrative Center La Alpujarra, Botero Plaza, and other important monuments in the center.

The tour will end by heading back to the center and passing by Plaza Mayor and Pies Descalzos Park. Return to your hotel.

Day7: (16 Dec)

EL PEÑOL AND GUATAPE TOUR

Depart from your hotel and head to Guatape. First, you’ll visit El Peñol, where you’ll have the opportunity to climb the many steps of the enormous boulder that dominates the region for a spectacular view of the entire lagoon (entrance fee not included).

From there, you’ll continue to see the colorful and quaint village of Guatape, known for its decorative walls and beautiful church in its central square. You’ll have the opportunity to stroll through the cobblestone streets of this lakeside town. This place has been called a natural and environmental heritage site of Colombia.

Return to your hotel in Medellin in the evening.

Evening Domestic flight to Cartagena

Arrive at Cartagena airport and transfer to your hotel, in the historic center of this beautiful colonial city. Approximately 20 minutes

Day8: (17 Dec)

WALKING TOUR OF CARTAGENA

Follow the steps of the famous pirates and let yourself be surprised by the “Pearl of the Caribbean”; the exotic mixed heritage and the cultural richness of this city will not fail to fascinate you. This tour through the streets of the beautiful city of Cartagena will take you back to the colonial era, with its colorful houses and lively squares.

Visit of the city on foot: you’ll walk in the colonial district of San Diego and Santo Domingo passing through the Plaza de los Coches, the Plaza de la Aduana, the Parque Bolívar, the Gold Museum, the Plaza de Santa Teresa, the Palace of Inquisition, the famous walls surrounding the old city and the Vaults.

Farewell dinner is arranged , we are sad to say goodbye to the group

Day9: (18 Dec)

Transport from your hotel to Cartagena airport

Time to leave beautiful Colombia .. we recommend to extend your stay one night in Cartagena if you can to still enjoy the vibes
