ITINERARY

    • DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU & TREK PREPARATION & Brief

On this day you arrive in Kathmandu & we transfer you to your accommodation. You can explore the surroundings and get to know a little about the country. The back office staff will prepare all required permits for your trekking and will help you with the last minute shopping.

  • DAY2: KATHMANDU –MANTHALI TO LUKLA THEN PHAKDING

After a morning drive to the airport, you’ll board a scenic flight to Lukla, a small mountain town renowned for its dramatic airstrip nestled among the Himalayan peaks. This short but unforgettable flight offers stunning aerial views of Nepal’s diverse terrain, transitioning from the lowlands to snow-capped mountains.

Lukla marks the beginning of your Himalayan adventure and is the launching point for many treks into the Everest region. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to soak in the surroundings and prepare for the days ahead.

  • DAY 3: PHAKDING – NAMCHE BAZAAR (1000m ascent – 100m descent)

We resume our journey along the trail we left the previous day, tracing the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. The path, etched into the hillside, winds through charming riverside Buddhist settlements, interspersed with sparse forests of rhododendron, pine, and fir.

Multiple crossings over rustic suspension bridges take us from one riverbank to the other, adding both excitement and scenic beauty to the trek. On this day, we’re rewarded with our first glimpse of Thamserku (6,608m), its icy peak towering above the valley.

The final stretch to Namche Bazaar is the most challenging—an intense, zigzagging climb through fragrant pine forest. Here, you’ll begin to feel the effects of higher altitude as the air thins. But your efforts are rewarded: on clear days, Namche offers distant yet majestic views of Mt. Everest, hinting at the grandeur that lies ahead.

  • DAY 4: REST DAY – NAMCHE BAZAAR

We take a rest on this day to acclimatise with high altitude and an excellent day to explore Namche, its culture and the periphery. Namche is an interesting town which has a terrace like settlement and looks like an amphitheatre. This is the most happening and biggest town along the trail. The idea is to remain active during the day and not fall asleep, which is why we hike to Syangboche airport; one of the high altitude, non commercial air strips. We also take the opportunity to visit Khunde and Khumjung where we see the school built by Sir. Edmund Hillary. This village is famous for the monastery which claims to hold the Yeti skull. Furthermore. When we get back to Namche we relax and enjoy the view; meanwhile we get ready for the next day’s trek.

  • DAY 5: NAMCHE BAZAAR – TENGBOCHE (350m descend – 750m ascent)

The day begins with a series of gentle ascents and descents, but with each step toward Tengboche, the majestic Himalayan peaks seem to draw ever closer. The trail winds through enchanting rhododendron forests, and if we’re lucky and attentive, we may spot Himalayan Thar or Musk Deercamouflaged among the trees.

As we push on, the final two-hour uphill climb proves to be the most demanding section of the day. Fortunately, the effort is eased by the sound of rushing mountain streams and the increasingly spectacular views that inspire us to keep going.

Eventually, we reach Tengboche, a serene, wide-open meadow crowned by the renowned Tengboche Monastery—the largest and one of the most significant monasteries in the Everest region. The setting is peaceful, spiritual, and dramatic, offering unparalleled views of Everest, and other towering peaks

  • DAY 6: TENGBOCHE – DINGBOCHE (70 m descent, 580m ascent)

The day begins with a leisurely descent, easing us into the rhythm of the trail. As we reach the Khumbu stream, the path gradually shifts into a steady uphill climb that continues for nearly three hours. This peaceful yet scenic stretch winds through open valleys and alpine meadows.

As we approach Dingboche, the landscape opens up to reveal spectacular mountain views. To the east, the towering Island Peak (6,189m) dominates the skyline, while Peak 38 (7,591m) and the mighty Lhotse (8,501m) rise majestically to the right of the village.

Dingboche, nestled in a wide valley, offers a tranquil resting spot. We settle in for the night, soaking in the fresh air and breathtaking surroundings.

  • DAY 7: REST DAY- DINGBOCHE

Dingboche is a serene and beautiful village, especially notable for its prolonged sunrises and calmer winds compared to its neighbor, Periche. At this altitude, taking a day to acclimatize is crucial, and staying active throughout the day is key, so no napping!

We set out on a short but rewarding hike, ascending approximately 400 meters to reach Nangkartshang Gompa, a stunning viewpoint that offers unique angles of Everest-region peaks and even a glimpse of Makalu (8,463m) to the east on clear days.

After enjoying the mountain vistas, we return to Dingboche for a well-earned lunch. The rest of the day is spent at a relaxed pace—taking photographs, playing cards, or even making up games with fellow trekkers. It’s the perfect blend of rest and movement, allowing your body to adjust while your spirit remains engaged.

  • DAY 8: DINGBOCHE – LOBUCHE (500m ascent)

The day begins with a steady ascent right from the start, as we leave Dingboche behind and pass through sparse village patches scattered across a barren glacial landscape—a hauntingly beautiful reminder of a long-vanished glacier.

Along the way, the twin peaks of Taboche and Periche come into view, standing tall over the rugged terrain. The trail traverses gravel-strewn ridgelines, revealing breathtaking vistas of Ama Dablam and Kantega rising like guardians of the Khumbu.

One of the most emotionally moving and physically demanding segments of the trek follows—a steep, heart-pounding climb to a memorial site dedicated to climbers who lost their lives during the 1996 Everest expedition. This solemn point offers a moment of reflection amidst the stark, stunning beauty.

As we continue upward, Thamserku looms ahead, its dramatic face urging us onward. Eventually, we arrive at Lobuche, a small, windswept village where we settle in for the night.

Ascending from the very first moment, we make our way through small patches of village with splendid views of twin peaks Taboche and Periche, above a barren area created by a vanished glacier. The trail further surpasses gravelly ridges which showcases the views of Ama Dablam and Kantega. We take an utter nerve wrecking uphill to a memorial that commemorates mountaineers who lost their lives in 1996, this is the most difficult climb of the day. Further we ascent with the view of soaring Thamserku in front. We reach Lobuche and spend a night here.

  • DAY 9: LOBUCHE – GORAK SHEP –EBC – GORAKSHEP (Ascent (650m -descent 385m)

It is very important to be cautious on this day, as we may begin to feel the signs of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Still, with care and determination, we continue our journey toward Gorak Shep.

Our path leads us through a narrow gap between the glacier moraine and the mountain wall. We face a small but demanding ascent over technically challenging terrain, and eventually, we get our first glimpse of Gorak Shep.

At 5,180 meters, Gorak Shep is a stark, flat land—a sand basin nestled high in the mountains. We pause here for lunch, taking in the dramatic landscape.

After a well-earned break, we press on toward our ultimate goal: Everest Base Camp. At 5,364 meters, we reach the iconic rock marked with the EBC sign.

Mission accomplished.

  • DAY 10: GORAKSHEP – To Kathmandu By helicopter

The helicopter journey from Gorakshep to Kathmandu is a breathtaking experience through the Himalayan landscape. Departing from Gorakshep at 5,164 meters, the ascent to the helipad involves a gradual climb of 200 meters, offering stunning views of Everest. The subsequent 700- meter descent unfolds as the helicopter approaches Kathmandu. Beyond altitude changes, the journey provides a unique vantage point to witness the beauty of the Himalayas. Weather conditions may affect the duration, but passengers can expect a blend of natural grandeur and cultural richness in Kathmandu, known for its temples, palaces, and vibrant markets. Travelers are advised to account for potential weather delays and acclimate to high altitude conditions for a safe and enjoyable experience.
